Outreach and Giving Back:

Thrill The World New York City is a New York team that is part of the worldwide attempt to set the new world record for the largest simultaneous dance ever. To make this happen we will teach anyone (regardless of age, ethnicity, silliness etc) how to do the dance. Thrill the World, started by Ines Markelle (aka Ines Markeljevic) of Canada, set off a Thriller fever around the world on October 25 (October 26 in some countries), 2008.
TTWNYC is not a professional dance group but a team of fun loving people from all walks of life. TTWNYC’s mission strives to encourage service-giving through the art of music and dance. We look forward to using these universal commonalities to encourage individuals of all ages to engage in creative service projects. The NYC team was started in April of 2009 by Amada Anderson. Why? Because it’s cool and because she wanted to learn thriller and thought everyone else did too.
Thrill The World NYC will be collecting NEW Pajama's at all our Fundraising events & Classes, helping to Promote The Pajama Program at all of our flashmobs while also providing community outreach by spending time with kids during reading days throughout the year.
We dance for various non-profit organizations and charities during Halloween! If you are interested in hiring the professional THRILLER dance team please contact Amada Anderson the event director/organizer.
